What and Why of Psychometric Assessments?
Mr. Simon Benet first of all urbanized a test to measure intellect in 1905 and on the basis of this discovery we can say that Psychometric Testing is in continuation for last more than 100 years. In the beginning, testing was restricted to educational psychology but later on extended areas like healthcare, recruitment and army etc. Presently, psychometric test intention is to measure skills and knowledge, abilities and capabilities, attitude and perception and overall personality traits like brilliance and intelligence with other cognitive abilities (i.e. mental competence that involves the ability to reason, plan, solve, think abstractly, understand complex ideas, learn quickly and learn from experience).
