In India, the biggest challenge before teachers and faculty are: how to inspire & motivate self, others and students – why? The reasons are very obvious – 99% Indians are not inspired and motivated because INSPIRATION & MOTIVATION starts at HOME and unfortunately in 70% homes who are living in villages they do not know what is inspiration and motivation; rest is 30% - out of this 20% are living in URBAN areas who are struggling a lot due to PULL and PUSH factors and remaining 10% - who are living in TOWN but out of this 9% people do not work in any ORGANIZED Institutions and Organizations and I am sorry to say that working in such places are simply THANKLESS means ZERO inspiration and motivation. Now remaining less than 1% of total population who are so called WHITE COLLAR and working in SYSTEMATIC & ORGANIZED Institutions & Organizations are failed to inspire and motivate because they are not inspired and motivated themselves. So, CUT THE PAST and focus on PRESENT. The steps to inspire and motivate people are worth mentioning:
Inspiration and
Motivation as a Parents
As
of now almost everyone spends their 40% of valuable time at HOME; 50% of their
time in SCHOOLS/ COLLEGES/OFFICES; and rest 10% at other places which may be
PLAYGROUND, INTERNET CAFE, SURFING, FRIENDS etc. The following steps are worth
mentioning:
1.Firstly you all parents give value & respect to your
“Daughter” at home so that your son will also treat her in the same way and at
the same time your son will value all “female” outside home also (if you think
that you are giving more importance to your son and he will be happy out of
that then you are wrong because he is looking very clearly in his friend house
that how his friend sister is getting due value and respect by parents (In
India at least in 10% home, female child has due respect and value): due to
this you are losing your respect and value in your son eyes and due to this he
is getting attracted towards other parents surroundings and classmates and
other girls where they find even little bit of care and love.
2. All parents give equal value and respect to both your son
& daughter.
3. All parents must give equal care and love towards both son
and daughter.
4. All parents must be a good friend and guide for your son
and daughter.
5. All parents must have sufficient time for discussion on
daily basis with your son and daughter whatever they did in the schools and
colleges.
6. All parents must show interest even in small things.
7. All parents must understand that if any “Adult” content is
coming on TV, or in the magazines or any newspaper or any other media and at
the same time if your son and daughter is asking questions on that then you are
supposed to answer positively rather than scolding: your answer should be – my
dear whenever you are watching anything or reading anything which is not
“Clear” to you it means this particular things is not as per your
understanding, simply when you will grow you will understand the meaning
automatically, so, no need to ask further or search on Google or no need to ask
your friend because they have also the same mental level in turn they will
confuse you by giving wrong meaning (in no case you are supposed to scold your
son and daughter; if you will scold, then “curiosity” will come to tender mind
why my parents are scolding me if I am asking any meaning it means “Something”
is there.
8. All parents must appreciate your son and daughter by
good-good words like – you are my “STAR” son and daughter but I want 5 STAR and
7 STAR (whether your son and daughter is getting 40% or 50% or 60% or 90% marks
– in any case you will not discourage and demoralise them: only good words).
9. All parents must tell their son and daughter – you are the
BEST so compete with yourself; you do not have competition with any one because
“FIVE FINGERS IN MY HAND IS NOT EQUAL, IN YOUR HAND IS ALSO NOT EQUAL. FIVE
BROTHERS AND SISTERS BORNE FROM THE SAME PARENTS ARE ALSO NOT EQUAL IN
INTELLIGENCE AND DESTINY EVEN TWINS ALSO; SO HOW CAN YOU COMPARE YOURSELF WITH
ANYONE IN YOUR NEIGHBOURS, SURROUNDINGS, AND CLASS WHO ARE ALTOGETHER FROM
DIFFERENT CASTE, CREED AND RELIGION. So, today onwards, you are not supposed to
compare your intelligence and destiny with anyone in this world, it’s an INSULT
to you.
10. All parents must tell that “CUT YOUR PAST” if it is
wrong. If it is good only then carry forward. Example – if your son and
daughter results in 10th, 11th and 12th are
between 30% to 50% and they repenting on that due to which they are not able to
“focus” on their present study; so, better to tell them that “NO ONE CAN CHANGE
PAST” but you can change your “PRESENT” so make your present stronger so that
your FUTURE will be strong because PAST+PRESENT = FUTURE.
Just try all these “10” steps and you will find your son and
daughter are your good friends because by this way they are getting equal value
and respect, care and love, honest attention and above all “Appreciation”. It’s
my challenge that now onwards whatever they will do, it will be in your
presence only keeping in mind decency, discipline and dignity as it is
happening with “ME”.
Inspiration and
Motivation by Teachers
After
Hollywood & Bollywood actors and actresses, teachers and faculty is the
SECOND most important person in the students life i.e. ROLE MODEL. So, be
careful and act as a GURU – who believes in act of GIVING only. At present, the
need of the hour is SHIFTING from GOOD to GREAT and TEACHER to GURU- simply in
one line GREAT GURU. This is possible – just follow strictly the point number
8,9,10 given above.
Inspiration and
Motivation by Schools/Colleges
It
is my humble request to all of you i.e. authorities from Schools and Colleges –
please inspire i.e. AWARD - for any good work done: please issue a CERTIFICATE
or APPRECIATION letter or simply STROKING – patting on the back or ANNOUNCEMENT
before all students or APPRECIATION in front of all teachers) and motivate i.e.
REWARD – any CASH PRIZES which may start from Rs.11 to their SURPRISE on daily
basis.
Inspiration and
Motivation by Institutions & Organizations
For
their staff, all head, executives & managers – just follow the same as
mentioned above for Schools/Colleges students. To add, treat them as an ASSET
not as LIABILITIES etc. and at the same time extend them equal VALUE and
RESPECT irrespective of their DESIGNATION and without any BIAS on the basis of
CASTE, CREED and RELIGION etc.
